This Scratch file demonstrates the use of bucket brigades – a way of organizing workers (e.g. on an assembly line) so that the line balances itself. This algorithm from Bartholdi’s materials shows that Scratch can be used for algorithmic purposes. We start our Informatics II – Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) in Excel – class by introducing programming concepts in Scratch, this way mitigating the hardships of learning IDE, syntax and programming concepts simultaneously.
